So, my niece is the proud owner of her Hello Kitty backpack. She tells me she has been keeping “secret” things in it.
I had a few small pieces of fabric leftover so I decided to make a Hello Kitty totebag for my friend Kate (who is almost as big of a fan of Hello Kitty as my 4 year old neice). I met Kate at LA Fitness where she teaches a bodyworks class that is truly “butt kicking”. She is the founder of Happy Hour Fitness: Promoting a fun, fit and adventureous attitude while you’re at the gym, home, outdoors or at Happy Hour! It’s 5:00 somewhere right? So let loose, let’s sweat and have a good time!”
Look how cute she is with her new bag! She organized a get together last weekend where we rode our bikes from Marina del Ray to Redondo Beach. Jake and I just bought bikes, so this was perfect timing.
For her pouch I followed the original tutorial by In Color Order without any adaptations.
I finally got to use my new sewing tags! And I have to say I love them!
I’ve wanted little labels to sew into the binding of my quilts for awhile. I ordered some right away (over a year ago now) when I started quilting, but never actually sent them the information or graphic to have them printed. And then since a year went by I couldn’t find the order anymore so I lost them.
I found these labels on ETSY at Jennifer’s Jewels. I told her what font I wanted, sent her the graphic of my sewing machine (thanks JAKE!) and then she took care of the rest.
She sent me this as a proof before she printed them:
And here they are! Aren’t they awesome? I will be folding them in half to sew them into the edge of the binding.
I’m wondering now if I should have found some longer, skinny labels to sew into the binding, since these might stick out quite a bit. Now that I have them, these labels seem better for clothing, bags, etc.
Take a peek at these labels, printed in France. I might have to have these for my quilts (without my sewing machine logo).
Ever since I started my blog, SEW MUCH TO DO, I have wanted a logo. But I can’t seem to think of anything. Or at least the only thing I’ve come up with is a scissors.
I found this great site on ETSY which sells personalized tags. SO COOL!!. (Their shop is closed right now while they’re on vacation but you can see a tiny picture of their labels here).
I am hoping that someone may have a great idea for my logo…. I want it to say SEW MUCH TO DO on it. Otherwise I’m open to all kinds of ideas.
Here’s some other logos I like, but I want something unique.
