Five Months

This is my last month at home with Mila. I took a 6 month leave of absence from my job to stay home with her. Every single day is so precious and I am getting very sad that this time is coming to an end.  My first month back, I am fortunate to only be working half days, which should help with the transition. In February life will be back to complete craziness. I’m so thankful my closest friend in LA works down the hall from me and is navigating the working mom thing as well. It will be nice to have someone who really understands close by.

FiveMonths

This past month has been wonderful. Mila is really developing a personality and it’s just a delight to be with her. She smiles and laughs and SQUEALS!! She doesn’t roll over yet, but is getting really close. She is also getting really close to sitting up on her own. And just the past few days she started showing interest in food. She continues to LOVE walks in the baby bjorn, so that is still one of our favorite activities.

  1. I am so blessed because I am retired and can keep my four month old grandson for his parents while they work. I remember the anxiety over leaving my own babies when I went back to work and am thrilled to be able to take care of him. He’s a sweetie, and it is amazing to watch him be able to do more and more activities. While you will miss your daughter, you also have a positive attitude about going back to work . I hope you have a good transition and wish you much happiness. Enjoy your child because time really does fly by too quickly!!

  2. Five months already!! How did that happen? I love the Christmas photos, you all match so well.
You will see how much quicker you get things done in work now that you have such a good reason to go back home at the end of the day. I found I am much faster and efficient now than I was before kids… or maybe I just get better with age. Who knows?
Loved the garlands you made too.
    Elena.
